Jennifer D. Sciubba, Ph.D., is President & CEO of PRB, which serves as a trusted voice on population changeāhelping policymakers, practitioners, journalists, and communities make sense of fertility trends, aging populations, migration patterns, and their implications for economics, politics, and daily life.
A political demographer, author, and public communicator, she speaks to extraordinarily diverse audiences: military leaders at the Naval War College and Air War College, corporate executives and business councils, federal and local policymakers, and community organizations. Her analysis has appeared in The Atlantic, Harvard Business Review, Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, and on CNN, BBC, and the TED stage.
Jennifer is the author of several books, including 8 Billion and Counting: How Sex, Death, and Migration Shape Our World (W.W. Norton, 2022), and co-author of Toxic Demography: Ideology and the Politics of Population (Oxford University Press, 2025), which examines how population dynamics have been entangled with ideology, identity, and nationalism from historical manipulations to contemporary debates. Before leading PRB, she was a tenured professor at Rhodes College, consulted for the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense (Policy), and studied at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany.
